Ads on Map Addon

Ads on Map Addon is a new addon for all iLister/iAuto/iRealty-based websites, v.6.1.3 and above.

This addon features a brand new way of displaying listings on a Google map, with listing details and various enhancements to augment user experience.

The implementation is very intuitive and user-friendly, and it also makes your iAuto, iLister or iRealty-based website look cool. The best part is that website owners still have a regular search results interface.

This great addon is provided independently from the WorksForWeb classified script default package for free. Please contact our Sales team to learn more about it and download it for your classified website. You may need to upgrade your current website to v.6.1.3 (or above) to be able to use the addon.

Overview

This addon integrates a Google Maps API v.3 technology to display listings on a Google map embedded into templates. This is an alternate way of displaying search results, and as such, it has a lot of advantages.

First of all, a visitor can adjust the search area by dragging the radius circle around the map or expanding/contracting the search area to get fewer or more results.

Once the results are identified, the visitor can review basic listing info by pointing the mouse over the balloons depicting locations of specific ads.

Ads on Map Addon Settings

The addon has to be separately installed via the admin panel. It requires an active Google account, and the admin must enable the Google Maps API v3 and agree to all terms and conditions.

By default, the initial location of the map search circle is New York, NY. The admin can easily change the default location on the System Settings page of the admin panel.

How It Works For Visitors

Any visitor can switch to the "Find On Map" mode using the corresponding button on the Search Form page. A circle appearing on the map displays the initial search radius. It can be moved or scaled by the user.

Once the location and the size of radius search is set, the visitor hits the Find button. This will generate search results displayed as balloons on the map.

The visitor can then look at individual listing details by clicking on individual balloons.

Clicking on a listing image or its caption within a ballon opens up a Listing Details page for this ad.

Addon offers two alternate ways of displaying search results, a Map Search Results page and a List Search Results page.

Every addon that we are offering is designed for seamless operation ONLY with the default website. We do not guarantee that the addon will work with websites that have code/template modifications made by yourself, us, or any third party due to possible compatibility issues.
