WebMoney Payment Gateway Addon

WebMoney, or WebMoney Transfer is an international Web-based payment system. It was developed in Russia, and has become very popular among Russian and CIS country residents.

This system is multifunctional, with its primary function being processing online payments. WebMoney transactions in various currencies, such as Russian Roubles, Euros, and USD.

WebMoney Overview

There is a market demand for regional payment gateways with Russian language support native to the CIS region. Worksforweb decided to introduce a WebMoney Payment module as an optional module for all WorksForWeb classified software products to address the needs of some of our customers.

To use WebMoney, website owners should sign up and set up what is called a WebMoney Purse. Each person or company can have as many purposes as they need. Purses are stored in a Keeper (a special repository) secured by a single identification number, or WMID.

WebMoney provides various types of keepers for multiple platforms, including PCs, mobile devices, and even ones for popular social networks.

How to Configure a WebMoney Addon

In order to start using this module in the WorksForWeb classified ads website, the owner should install it via the admin panel. To set it up, the admin should have an account with WebMoney, and have at least one personal Purse configured.

All WebMoney operating instructions, description of purses, and detailed guides on how to download and install the Keeper can be found on the WebMoney official website.

The WebMoney module is located on the Payment Gateways page in the admin dashboard.

Enter the ID number of your WebMoney Purse and the secret key in the appropriate fields.

Once the configuration is saved, the admin can start using the module to accept WM payments.

The WebMoney module is not included in the WorksForWeb classified software default package, and should be downloaded and installed separately. It is available for all our products v.6.1.0 and above.
