Classified Ads Website Script: New Templates with the v.6.1.0 Release

With Euro 2012 already over, and the London Olympics coming up, the world slows down in anticipation of the new event that would keep the people worldwide talking for days in between the sports events. And no, the new release of Worksforweb classified scripts is hardly a worldwide phenomenon, although some of us may argue about that.

Time is right for another release, and you may wonder what we came up with. We do have a couple of rabbits in our magic hat, as always, and we hope you will not be disappointed. Key things and changes are described in the following paragraphs.

New Themes

Design trends are even more volatile than ever.  Trendsetters come up with a new style and everyone wants a template just like that one.

Worksforweb came up with a new template for iAuto, iRealty, and iLister, all styled in a trendy color and element placement scheme.

The Grey theme series is an awesome addition to our collection of fully customizable themes. Having passed an alpha and beta-testing series, they offer a nice clean look you will be proud of. Using our initial theme customization guide (found on the Site Customization section of the product manual, just click on the User Manual button on a product demo installation), you should be able to adjust the look and feel to get that unique theme you have been striving to own.

Just as a reminder, in version 6 each theme comes as a standalone module among dozens and dozens of free modules that you can turn on and off from the admin panel.

Image Carousel

An integral part of the new Grey theme series is a new and cool feature we called an Image Carousel. This is a design element that you can insert into any other section of the website besides the header, which basically rotates images.

It is not a Flash-based element, which means that all browsers will display it correctly, even all the iOS devices, and you can place all sorts of pictures in it. For example, a nice selection of awesome properties will serve as an eye candy for your real estate portal. Several pics with newest cars would look nice on an iAuto-based website. You can add sponsor banners, marketing campaign details, or a step-by-step guide to signing up and creating a new listing.

The Image Carousel is an awesome addition to our collection of existing Promotional Tools.

Recent Tweets

Social networking has become a notable part of online fun and work-related experience. People constantly share, “Like” or “tweet” everything that they consider useful or worthwhile their readers’ attention.

The free recent tweets module was developed to let your visitors read your tweets without leaving your website. You can either keep it where it is placed now (Grey themes), or move it elsewhere, say, under the left menu area or on a separate page.

Cookie Policy Balloon

As some of our European readers may already know, European Union has recently adopted an EU Cookie Law. The purpose of this Law is to protect Internet users’ privacy. In accordance with the law, every website should inform its visitors that the website requires the use of cookies and should secure user’s consent before storing these cookies.  For example, your login information and other personally identifiable data may be stored in cookies.

In order to ensure compliance with the new law, we came up with this new and free Cookie Notice module for our European customers. It is turned off by default after the installation. Once enabled, there will be a notification balloon on the front page that contains a link to a sample Cookie Policy page that you may want to modify to
