iAuto, iRealty and iLister Classified Software Version 5.2 Release

The Christmas week this year is marked with a new release of the classified solutions from WorksForWeb, namely, iAuto, iRealty, and iLister. The new version, v.5.2, contains a dramatic overhaul of the template API and features flashy new templates, as well as 50+ enhancements and several bug fixes. Let us go over the most notable changes introduced in the new release.

Templates: Improved API

Our developers have improved and made changes to the template API for all platforms. We made enhancements in the browse by function, made listing category handling more flexible, redesigned and improved all pop-up windows, and introduced a number of fixes.

The above changes give Web developers even more leeway in customizing the default look and feel to their needs. Now, to change the look and feel of the entire theme you need to edit CSS files, and you are good to go.

Exciting New Themes

Each product has a set of new themes. Some of them are partly based on the popular product themes, others are completely new and cool. All of them are based on the contemporary clean and minimalistic designs (where possible without hurting the visual presentation aspects).

For those who like tabbed interfaces, we are offering a new theme where various listing elements (location map, videos, picture gallery, etc) are placed under tabs to make the listing view more compact, yet very informative.

New Picture Carousel Interface

Worksforweb has introduced an improved way of displaying image thumbnails on the Listing Details pages of all products. The new attractive script allows for scrolling picture thumbnails much like product images on Amazon™.

Image Slideshow Updated

In addition to the picture carousel improvement, we have also upgraded the Slideshow interface to make it more smooth-looking and to improve picture handling for various pic dimensions.

Listing Comparison across Categories

The ability to compare listings is an awesome marketing tool that makes any classified website truly versatile and professional. End users are able to make qualified choices to select the most appropriate car, or property, or item among the ones available on the website. The beauty of our solution is in the fact that there is no limit to the number of listings that can be compared against one another (some popular commercial services limit the number of listings to 3 or 5). As opposed to the previous version, v.5.2 features the ability to compare listings across categories, a rare option not common among the commercial solutions available on the market.
