Impossible to Sell Being on the Last Search Page
Have you ever posted an ad on a classified ads website? If you did, you could not help but notice that you are not alone there and there are tons and tons of similar listings. With such a fierce competition, what are the ways to become noticed and find your buyer?
People use various ways to make their own listings as much noticeable as possible. They post attractive images, write detailed descriptions to make their listings more visible to potential buyers. However, classified ads websites still have too many listings, and it is hard to stand out among them.
Fortunately, for websites run on our classified scripts, this issue is taken care of in a number of ways. The most significant and efficient tools to promote listings are Featured Ads and Sponsored Listings.
Featured Ads
Our customers are quite familiar with Featured Ads, as this tool has been developed and made part of all the software for a long time.
Featured Ad is a promotional tool designed to make listings more noticeable by showing them on the main page in a separate block. Thanks to flexibility of this feature, a website administrator can regulate a number of listings and manage this block.
Featured Ads is a powerful tool to promote listings on the front page of the website. However, it is also important to make a listing more noticeable in the search results. The higher a listing’s position is in the search results, the more readers will go through it. To cater for this need, we included an additional promotional tool into our products named Sponsored Listings.
Sponsored Listings
This option puts sponsored listings on top of search results. Such sponsored ads are rotated.
The administrator can mark such listings as “sponsored” or leave them without any labels. By default, sponsored listings are marked with a special label.
How to Enable Sponsored Listings
For Administrator
Flexible and user-friendly structure of membership plans and packages allows the admin to configure sponsored ad’s lifetime and price.
A website administrator can enable the sponsored option manually on the Edit Listing page of the Admin Panel. The admin will have to select the “Sponsored Listing” checkbox for a particular ad to activate it.
For Customers
Customers can use this option for any of their listings. All they need to do is click the "Make Sponsored" link on the "My Listings" page. After clicking it, the listing owner receives the offer to pay for it.
Being on top of the search results page is an awesome way to increase the chances of selling the item listed.
