V.5.4 Classified Scripts Released
WorksForWeb released new versions of all classified software packages, with social marketing features, improved admin panel, and new login capabilities. There are a number of new features added for the benefit of the users of the new version of the classified scripts.
Let us go over some of the more notable new additions and functions:
Social Networking
The update features a number of social marketing functions by integrating certain key functionality of some of the immensely popular websites such as Facebook and Twitter. Website owners will now benefit from close integration with the social networks when it comes to SEO. Below is an overview of the key viral marketing functions:
1) We added a Facebook 'Like' and a Twitter 'Tweet' buttons to the listing page templates. This will allow any of your visitor and users to share their favorite listings with friends and followers, thus adding a brand new and extremely powerful way of positively affecting website rankings.
2) We added a third party account login functionality. Now, instead of creating a new profile, any new visitors can now log in to Auto Software, Real Estate Solution, or General Classified Software by using their OpenID account, or the existing accounts of Facebook, Twitter, or Google.
3) Admins in v.5.4 of all our classified scripts have the ability to control the amount of exposure of the listings to the social networks integrated with the products. Particularly, the admin can turn on or off the ability to publish listings in social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. Basically, when both Twitter and Facebook are enabled, all new listings are automatically added to the admin's Facebook and Twitter feeds. Such exposure can dramatically increase the visibility of your website to the rest of the world and make it more attractive for advertisers.
New Admin Dashboard
A decent Admin Dashboard was missing from our scripts, and we decided to close this gap and provide our website admins with a tool to get all the key classified listing-related data on one page at a glance.
The new dashboard is a handy tool to get an overview of listing, user and payment statistics for the website:
Obviously, as with all other interfaces of our classified scripts, the admin has the ability to tweak or totally redesign the look and feel of the admin panel by editing the relevan CSS files. This is an option that caters for the need to personalize the admin and to provide the end user with a totally unique and custom-tailored user experience, an option most Web developers will appreciate (and charge for a bit extra:-) ) .
Admin Panel in Many Languages
Based on a large number of requests from our existing customers, we have re-designed the admin panel to enable multi-language support for the admin area the same way as for the front-end.
Basically, the admin panel interface can now be translated into any other language the same way as the front-end. To simplify things and to avoid any duplications of phrases/efforts, both the front end part and the admin panel use the same language file. Here's an example of how it looks and works:
Change User Group and Usernames
User management has become even simpler than before. In v.5.4 of our classified scripts, we have enabled the admin to change a user group for a user or users. Also, users themselves can change groups, and their usernames after the registration of their accounts.
In order to allow all visitors to harness the powers of social networking and to better use all the functions of a classified website based on any of the Worksforweb's scripts, we created a new user group called Buyers. Users of this group can enjoy all the functions of the website designed for registered users (browse listings, save search queries, use social network tools, etc.), but cannot create their own listings.
BMA Now Compatible with Mobile Frontend Addon
The moment has finally arrived, and we are glad to present a new version of the Mobile Frontend Addon. This version is now fully compatible with the Banner Management Addon functionality, also known as BMA. This means you can place your custom banner ads into the mobile website interface using the BMA ad management tool for this purpose.
